Excursion to the impressive ruins of Pompeii, the Roman city buried under ash during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Tip: Optional visit to a local winery with tasting and rustic lunch.
Ferry to the world-famous island of Capri, celebrated for its breathtaking scenery, lush vegetation and dramatic cliffs plunging into turquoise waters. Island tour by minibus including Capri, Anacapri and Villa San Michele. Free time or optional visit to the Gardens of Augustus with panoramic views of Via Krupp and the iconic Faraglioni rocks. Weather permitting, optional boat trip to the Blue Grotto. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive to Paestum to visit the impressive Doric temples and the Archaeological Museum, home to the famous “Tomb of the Diver.” Continue to Salerno to see the Cathedral, its crypt, the Church of San Pietro a Corte and the Minerva Gardens.
