Day 1: Arrival

Arrival by bus or at Rome Fiumicino Airport. Transfer to the hotel in or around Rome. Check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ancient Rome Part I / Foro Romano - Palatino

Visit the Roman Forum, once a marketplace and later the political centre of the Roman Empire, filled with temples, triumphal arches and imperial monuments. In the afternoon, explore the Palatine Hill, the legendary birthplace of Rome, home to the ruins of imperial palaces and the fabled hut of Romulus.

Day 3: Ancient Rome Part II / Colosseum - Fori Imperiali - Piazza del Campidoglio

Visit the Colosseum, Rome’s iconic landmark and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Built under Emperor Vespasian, the grand amphitheatre once hosted gladiator battles and wild animal shows. Continue to the Arch of Constantine and the Imperial Forums — magnificent symbols of Roman power and architecture. Stroll to Piazza del Campidoglio, Michelangelo’s Renaissance masterpiece, overlooking the city and the Basilica of Santa Maria in Aracoeli.

Day 4: Ancient Rome Part III / Panteon – Piazza Navona – Trevi Fountain – Spanish Steps

Visit the Pantheon, a marvel of Roman engineering with its magnificent dome and central oculus. Stroll to Piazza Navona, once a Roman stadium and now one of Rome’s most beautiful squares, adorned with baroque fountains and the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. Continue to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps – timeless icons of the Eternal City.

Day 5: Christian Rome / Vatican

Visit St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, the symbol of the Vatican and a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture designed by Bramante, Raphael and Michelangelo. Inside, admire Bernini’s magnificent bronze baldachin and Michelangelo’s soaring dome. Continue to the Sistine Chapel to marvel at Michelangelo’s legendary frescoes, and explore the Vatican Museums — one of the world’s greatest art collections.

Day 6: Campo de’ Fiori – Palazzo Farnese – Trastevere

Stroll through Campo de’ Fiori, the vibrant heart of Roman life, and continue to Piazza Farnese with its magnificent Renaissance palace. Then explore Trastevere, with its narrow cobbled streets and lively Piazza Santa Maria — the neighbourhood said to house the “true Romans.” Optional: traditional farewell dinner with music in Trastevere.

Day 7: Return home

After breakfast, return journey by bus or transfer to Rome Fiumicino airport and return home.
